Caitlin joined Stockwoods as an associate following her call to the bar in 2018. She previously summered and articled at a major Toronto full-service firm as well as a leading intellectual property boutique firm. As a result, Caitlin brings experience across a range of corporate-commercial litigation and arbitration matters, class actions, intellectual property disputes and energy regulation. She also gained important perspective assisting on numerous corporate transactions.
Caitlin holds a J.D. from the University of British Columbia, where she was recognized with a number of awards for public international law, public interest work, and for negotiation skills. She competed for UBC in the Jessup International Moot in 2015-16. She earlier earned a B.Sc. in mechanical engineering and a B.A. in international relations from the University of Calgary, each with distinction. Prior to attending law school Caitlin worked both as a researcher and a design engineer (EIT).
Representative Work
Caitlin practices across all of the firm’s practice areas of civil, administrative and select criminal litigation. In that regard, she has assisted clients or served as co-counsel on diverse matters including class proceedings, Coroner’s inquest matters and privacy regulation, as well as providing assistance in advising on professional regulation matters.
