The Faculty of Law of Queen’s University has asked Scott Hutchison to participate in re-designing the Appellate Advocacy curriculum, focusing on appellate practice and skills in the regulatory and criminal law areas. Scott’s involvement is part of a larger re-design of the practice skills component of the Faculty of Law’s curriculum, which include educating students on advocacy skills and negotiation technique.
Scott has taught at the Faculty of Law in the areas of Trial Practice and Appellate Advocacy since 2004 and brings his vast experience as appellate counsel before the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada to this exciting task. The new course will be offered beginning in winter 2007, and will run along-side the Trial Practice course, which will be offered once again.
