Practice Areas
Genevieve’s practice includes criminal, civil, and public law litigation. Prior to joining Stockwoods, Genevieve articled as a judicial law clerk at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in Toronto. As a law clerk, she assisted judges on criminal, constitutional, and civil law matters. Before clerking, Genevieve summered at a top Toronto law firm.
Genevieve was called to the bar in 2025. She received her J.D. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. During law school, she worked with the David Asper Centre for Constitutional rights Advocacy Clinic. Genevieve was an oralist in the Frank W. Callaghan Memorial Moot on criminal and constitutional law. Genevieve also participated in an appellate criminal litigation externship, where she assisted counsel on matters before the Court of Appeal for Ontario and the Supreme Court of Canada. Throughout law school, she served as a research assistant to two professors and volunteered as a mock trial facilitator for underserved youth interested in obtaining a legal education.
Genevieve holds an M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She received her B.A. from McGill University.
Representative Work
Assisted on a matter before the Court of Appeal for Ontario regarding habeas corpus and the deprivation of an incarcerated person’s residual liberty.
Assisted on a criminal law matter before the Court of Appeal for Ontario regarding admissibility of identification evidence.
Assisted on an intervention in a criminal law matter before the Supreme Court of Canada.
