Leave to appeal to Supreme Court granted in securities case

The Supreme Court of Canada has granted leave to appeal the decision of the British Columbia Court of Appeal in Mclean v. B.C. Securities Commission.  Stockwoods lawyers Christopher Wirth and Fredrick Schumann act for the appellant, Patricia Mclean.  The case concerns the six-year time limitation period for enforcement matters under the B.C. Securities Act, as well as the duty of the Commission to give reasons where making orders on a reciprocal basis with other provincial securities commissions.  To read the B.C.
