Administrative and Public Law

Administrative and Public Law

Our lawyers are widely regarded as the leading practitioners in administrative and public law, having acted in some the most significant, high-stakes mandates in the country. We have a broad and deep expertise litigating cases across a range of sectors, including health care, legal professions, and financial services. We have acted for and against provincial and federal governments, as well as a range of regulators (e.g., Ontario Securities Commission, Law Society of Ontario, Financial Services Regulatory Authority). We have prosecuted and defended professional disciplinary matters (including those involving judicial misconduct), and we regularly provide independent advice to a range of administrative tribunals (especially in the regulation of healthcare professionals). We also regularly appear before all levels of court (up to the Supreme Court of Canada) in precedent setting cases, including constitutional law matters of national importance.
