Katie Martin

Practice Areas

Katie is a rising 3L student at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where she is co-editor in chief of the University of Toronto Faculty of Law Review. She is also a senior editor of the Modern Criminal Law Review and a working group leader at the Asper Centre for Constitutional Law. She is especially proud of her work on Humanitarian and Compassionate applications with the FCJ Refugee Centre. She was second-place oralist at the Wilson Moot and the Cassels Cup. Last summer, Katie was a summer student at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in Toronto, where she assisted judges with criminal and civil matters. Prior to law school, Katie was a PhD student in linguistics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and completed a BA in linguistics at Yale University. Katie enjoys knitting, playing the viola, and reading science fiction.
