Angela Sordi joined Stockwoods LLP as Director of Talent to lead the firm’s talent strategy and oversee all aspects of the associate and student experience, including recruitment, professional development, performance management, and engagement initiatives. Working closely with the Partnership, Angela helps cultivate a high-performing and inclusive culture by supporting lawyer development, leadership growth, and long-term career success. She plays a key role in shaping Stockwoods’ associate and student programs and is committed to coaching and developing the next generation of exceptional litigators and legal leaders.
Called to the Ontario Bar in 2003, Angela is an Executive Certified Coach with extensive experience in legal talent management, lawyer recruitment, professional development, leadership coaching, and career development. She brings a unique combination of legal, coaching, and talent expertise to her work, helping lawyers strengthen their skills, navigate career progression, build leadership capabilities, and achieve their professional goals.
Before joining Stockwoods, Angela held senior talent and recruitment roles with two national law firms and a leading national legal recruitment firm. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to fostering excellence in the legal profession and advancing initiatives that support mentorship, diversity, inclusion, well-being, and associate development. Her collaborative and people-focused approach enables lawyers to thrive while contributing to the continued success of their firms and clients.
Angela is a member of the International Coaching Federation and the National Association for Law Placement (NALP).
