On February 18-20, 2021, the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers (Ontario) (“FACL Ontario”) held its 14th annual conference, “Renewal and Solidarity”, entirely over the virtual platform Remo. The conference was attended by hundreds of lawyers, judges, and law students within the Asian Canadian legal community. The keynote speaker was William F. Lee (WilmerHale), lead trial counsel for Harvard in the constitutional challenge to its race conscious admissions policy.
Our partner, Gerald Chan, is the President of FACL Ontario and was the Co-Chair of the conference. Our partner, Nader Hasan, presented on the environmental law panel, “Protection, Preservation and Purpose: Assessing the Legal Landscape in Environmental Law”.
