On January 18 and 19, Scott Hutchison co-chaired the 2007 Osgoode Professional Development Program in Search and Seizure Law in Canada with Fraser Kelly ’85, Crown Counsel, Ministry of Attorney General (ON), and Scott Fenton, of Fenton Smith. An expert faculty provided delegates the latest information on a number of hot-button issues including: law office searches; grow-op investigations; police powers in roadblocks and dragnets; and production orders. The Calgary-based conference, which has been has run in Toronto 4 times over the last 8 years, was attended by over 200 Crown attorneys, judges, defence lawyers, and law enforcement professionals. Scott has co-chaired all five versions of the program since its inception.
