Our partner Gerald Chan will speak at the Osgoode Certificate in Provincial Offences Court Practice program on Saturday, January 21, 2017. He will present on “The Charter and POA Prosecutions”. Among other things, Gerald will discuss the new test for the right to trial within a reasonable time in s. 11(b) of the Charter and how this test applies to individual and corporate defendants in provincial offence prosecutions.
