Our partner Gerald Chan will be speaking at the annual search and seizure course put on by the Ontario Crown Attorneys Association on August 15, 2017. He will be debating Randy Schwartz (General Counsel, Crown Law Office – Criminal) on a range of topics related to the right to privacy under s. 8 of the Charter, including text messages, Internet subscriber information, and computer searches. The course is part of the annual “Crown summer school” program and is attended by Crown attorneys and police officers.
