Nader Hasan to speak at OBA’s annual Charter conference

At the Ontario Bar Association’s annual conference on the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, Stockwoods counsel Nader R. Hasan will be part of a panel discussing sexual assault trials and the Charter.  The panel will discuss what recent high-profile criminal trials have revealed about the Charter rights of both the accused and the complainants in sexual assault cases; what, if any, impact the heated public debate around this issue will have on such cases; and how we can support complainants’ equality rights while respecting the rights of the accused.  The conference is being held this year at 20 Toronto Street, Toronto, Ontario, on October 6.  For more information, click here.
