We are please to announce that our colleague Pam Hrick is the 2018 recipient of the Emerging Leader Award, presented by Start Proud on September 13 during its annual Leaders To Be Proud Of Awards ceremony in Toronto. Start Proud’s awards recognize exemplary achievement and community service within the LGBTQ+ community. The Emerging Leader Award is presented to a leader within the first five years of their career who shows exceptional ability in leadership, professional excellence, and vision, and who demonstrates a strong potential to become a recognized leader in the community.
Start Proud, formerly Out On Bay Street, is a national non-profit organization that facilitates the professional development of LGBTQ+ students as they transition from school to career. The organization undertakes this task by providing mentorship, education, and networking opportunities. By recognizing the experiences and achievements of exemplary individuals and role models, Start Proud strives to celebrate the contributions of LGBTQ+ leaders and youth to leading Canadian corporations, the business community, and society.
