Paul Le Vay speaks on new summary judgment jurisprudence

Stockwoods partner Paul Le Vay spoke on May 21, 2012 on the subject of the Court of Appeal’s recently-developed “full appreciation” test for the application of the recently-amended Rule 20, applicable to motions for summary judgment.  Paul’s presentation was at the Law Society of Upper Canada’s annual Civil Litigation Summit.  Paul, together with Luisa Ritacca and Paul Jonathan Saguil,  represented Cassels, Brock & Blackwell LLP in the matter of Bruno v. Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP et al., one of the five cases in which the Court of Appeal articulated the new test.
