Toronto City Council candidate pleads guilty to breaching Municipal Elections Act

Toronto city council candidate Gus Cusimano, charged with voting improperly in a ward in which he did not reside contrary to the Municipal Elections Act, pleaded guilty in proceedings before the Ontario Court of Justice.  Stockwoods partner Michal Fairburn acted as prosecutor on behalf of the City in prosecuting the violation.  To read the Toronto Star’s coverage of the proceeding, click here.
