Stephen Aylward receives John Kable, Q.C., Young Justice Professional Award

We are pleased to announce that our colleague, Stephen Aylward, was presented last night with the John Kable, Q.C., Young Justice Professional Award by the International Society for the Reform of Criminal Law at its 31st Annual Conference, which was held in Montreal, July 16-18, 2018. The award was presented by the Hon. Thomas Cromwell and Greg Melick, Q.C.

John Kable was a brilliant Australian criminal barrister. He took silk in his thirties after a string of high profile cases in the High Court of Australia, before tragically passing away at the age of 41. Kable was a founding member of the ISRCL.

The ISRCL is an international non-governmental association of judges, legislators, lawyers, academics, governmental officials, police and corrections professionals who have come together to work actively on the administration of criminal justice both in their own jurisdiction and internationally.
